Expert in TESA and PESA testsSpecialist in IVF and Fertility
In the case of infertility, the coordination of selective sperm harvesting a mature egg is a lot of work of balance. Simple sperm retrievals procedures are known in three types. But we will speak about two here, One is Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA)and another one is Percutaneous Sperm Aspiration (PESA).
TESA: The lack of sperm in men which in the technical words is called Azoospermia. Tesa is then recommended for the treatment of infertility. Earlier to TESA only reconstructive surgery was possible or donor insemination.
The Intra-Cytoplasmic sperm injection has made azoospermic men again aspire to become biological fathers. In this test, the sperm will be located and directly taken out of the testis. This test is now globally accepted by patients who want offspring.
PESA: A complete absence of sperm in the semen. It is also called obstructive azoospermia, then the PESA is recommended to the patient. In this case, the patient's sperm can't be retrieved by IVF/ICSI.
This operation is conducted through local anesthesia in the operating room or the office coordinated with their female partner's egg. A needle is inserted into the testicle and tissue/sperm are retrieved.
In the PESA test, there is a long coiled tube that stores sperm inside the testicles. A fine needle is inserted through the skin to retrieve the sperm. And in the TESA test, directly through the skin, the fine needle is passed into the testes.
It retrieves a small number of seminiferous tubules. Your condition will be best gauged by your doctor to choose one test among TESA/PESA.
Men assume this as disrespecting their masculinity when they find out about infertility. It is as natural as any other illness in our body. The reason can be varied when it comes to the causes.
Without coming to any conclusion, let the expert decide the treatment and help you with your own offspring. In other words, PESA and TESA tests can identify the real issue and help sperm retrieve in the testicles. This makes bearing a child possible even in the remotest health condition.
